Welcome to CDH Fishing. My name is Chris Horton. Thank you for stopping by! I am a 24 year old angler from Boise, Idaho. My passion is competing in bass tournaments. Since the first time my father took me fishing I have dreamed of fishing professionally. I grew up fishing every pond I could get to, working to perfect my skills. When I finally got my drivers license it opened a whole new door for me, that’s when I began to fish competitively. Ever since then I have been working to get closer to my dream of fishing professionally. I am now looking to take the next step. Having been successful in the local tournnaments, I am seeking support to fish the larger national circuits. 2012 TBF National Championship Location Announced
Chris Horton will be heading to Bull Shoals Lake, Ar to represent Idaho at the 2012 TBF National Championship. The tournament will be March 27-31, 2012. This tournament features the top competitors from fourty seven different states. Every angler at this event has been working for two years to make it to this point. If Chris wins this tournament he will have a spot in the Forest Wood cup the biggest paying tournament in bass fishing and if he finished first in the north west he will have a spot in the All American fishing tournament.

Chris Horton Takes Fourth at Dry Creek Open
Chris Horton and his team partner Davahn finished fourth out of sixty five boats at the Dry Creek Open. The key to this finish was being able to feel the really light bites which was easily done on Chris' Dobyns Champion Extreme DX744C.
Chris Horton Qualifies for 2012 TBF National Championship
Chris Horton just finished competing at the 2011 TBF North West Divisional were he finished 5th overall and 2nd on the Idaho State team. Him and fellow Idaho team mate Don Boeger will be traveling together to the 2012 TBF National Championship. Chris is very excited at this opportunity and looks forward to the experience.
2011 TBF Qualifiers have Started
Chris Horton started off the 2011 TBF state team qualifiers strong with and 8th place showing out of 41 participants. The first qualifier was held at Brownlee Reservoir on April 9, 2011. It was a tough tournament with many people not even weighing a limit. Chris is already looking forward to the next qualifier which will be at Owyhee Reservoir which is where Chris won last years tournament by almost 9 lbs.
IBM Open Brownlee, Woodhead Ramp
The IBM Open is being held at Brownlee Reservoir at the Woodhead ramp on March 26, 2011. Chris Horton will be fishing the tournament with team partner Davahn (Hop Sing). The two of them are looking to have a strong showing and to the challenges of an early spring tournament.
Chris Horton to Teach Bass Fishing 101 class at Cabela's Spring Great Outdoor Days
Chris Horton will be teaching the Bass Fishing 101 class that will be at the Cabela's Spring Great Outdoor Days. The class will be on Sunday March 6 at 11:00 am. In this class Chris will be covering many of the basic skills you need to be able to catch both largemouth and smallmouth bass. While this class will be more for the beginners, Chris believes that beginners and advanced angler alike will be able to learn something new at the class.
Chris To Be at Cabela's Spring Great Outdoor Days
Chris Horton will be at the Boise Cabela's Spring Great Outdoor Days March 4-6, 2011. He will be there representing Dobyns Rods and helping people learn about selecting the right rod for their favorite bait. Stop by and say hello and have any of your rod questions answered.

Chris Horton Qualifies for Regionals for Team Idaho!
September 26, 2010- Chris Horton will be traveling to the TBF Regionals on the Columbia River to represent Idaho as a boater in June of 2011. Idaho will be a very strong team with the likes of Niel Russell(2009) FLW Series Columbia Champion, and Chris Horton (2007) Top 40 finish FLW series Columbia River.

June 26, 2010- Chris Horton won the Idaho Federation Qualifier with a five fish limit of 25.01 lbs. The next closest competitor had 16.20lbs. With a third place finish at the last qualifier it moves Chris into a tie for first place. With only two tournaments left in the series and one throw out tournament available it appears Chris will be going to the Regional tournament to represent the state of Idaho.
